Product Description
The PDC core bit, also known as a hollow bit or thin tubular multi-toothed bit, features a drill body inlaid with high-grade carbide plates. It is designed specifically for core-taking to obtain complete stratigraphic decomposition data during exploration, development, and construction.
Key Objectives of Coring:
- Analyze strength and abrasiveness of formations to guide drilling operations.
- Understand the distribution of oil, gas, and water in target formations.
- Calculate porosity, permeability, and oil/gas saturation for effective thickness evaluation.
Our PDC core bits are available in various labial shapes tailored for complex rock formations: Flat, Bread, Cut, Fan, and Helmet types. Each shape offers specific advantages, balancing drilling speed and wear resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What are the main advantages of PDC core bits?
A: PDC core bits provide high efficiency and fast drilling speeds compared to traditional bits, especially in exploration and sampling projects.
Q2: Can I get a customized size for my specific project?
A: Yes, we support DIY customization. Please provide your rock formation details or technical drawings for a tailored solution.
Q3: How do I choose between different labial shapes like Flat or Bread?
A: Flat, Cut, and Fan shapes are optimized for fast drilling, while Bread and Helmet shapes offer superior wear resistance in abrasive conditions.
Q4: What is the hardness range these bits can handle?
A: Our bits are suitable for a wide range of strata, from Grade 1 (loose soil) up to Level 12 (hardest rocks like Quartzite and Jasperite).
Q5: Do you provide samples before a large order?
A: Some samples can be provided free of charge to ensure the quality meets your project requirements.
Q6: What is the typical lead time for delivery?
A: Items in stock are usually delivered within 1 week. For custom or bulk orders, the timeline depends on the specific order quantity.
