Product Description
PDC insert diamond Cutters for drilling bit
PDC is composed of a polycrystalline diamond layer and a cemented carbide substrate. It is a type of super-abrasive product sintered under super-high pressure and high temperature. With excellent wearability and impact toughness, this extremely hard product is mainly used for making roller cone bits for petroleum drilling and tools for coal mine drilling and geological drilling.
Two types of PDC are available: PDC for petroleum drilling & PDC for mining. The interface shape can be flat or non-planar. The polycrystalline diamond layer thickness ranges from 0.8mm to 3mm. PDC can be cut into different shapes according to specific requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is a PDC cutter?
PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) is a super-abrasive material made by sintering a polycrystalline diamond layer with a tungsten carbide substrate under extremely high pressure and temperature.
What are the primary applications for these cutters?
They are primarily used in oilfield drilling, coal mining, and geological exploration, specifically for making roller cone bits and other drilling tools.
What kind of rock formations can PDC cutters handle?
Our PDC cutters are designed to perform efficiently in soft, medium, and hard rock formations.
What is the standard thickness of the diamond layer?
The polycrystalline diamond layer typically ranges from 0.8mm to 3.0mm, with some advanced models reaching a thickness of 2.0mm+ for increased durability.
Are there different shapes available for PDC cutters?
Yes, while standard shapes are available, we can cut PDC into different shapes based on specific customer requirements and the interface can be flat or non-planar.
What manufacturing standards do your products follow?
Our production process is certified under ISO9001, ensuring consistent quality and high performance in demanding drilling environments.
