Product Description

PDC is a new superhard material, which is synthesized with medium-high cobalt carbide and synthetic diamond polycrystalline under high temperature and high pressure. The bits made with PDC have superior characters compared with traditional carbide bits, whose service life is 10 to 30 times than the later, and the time-saving performance is 50% higher.
PDC Cutters (Polycrystalline Diamond Compacts) are made by sintering micron sized diamond particles onto a tungsten carbide substrate, featuring high hardness and wear resistance. These are widely used for oil drilling, geographical exploration, coal mining, and machinery processing.
PDC cutter's characters: high impact toughness and wear resistance, service time is 10~20 times longer than normal carbide materials, easy to weld; heat stability is good below 650ºC, carbonization will turn up above 750ºC and the impact toughness and wear resistance will be decreased as well. Note: The welding temperature should be kept below 650ºC to ensure the product's service time.
High wear resistance and high impact toughness.
No special requirements for instruments.
Multiple free cutting surfaces, high drilling efficiency, and strong diameter protection.
Short drill time, low labor intensity, and high comprehensive performance.
PDC for geological drilling combines closely and has little binding agent. It is suitable for soft and medium rock formations with higher heat stability, wear resistance, and impact toughness, which can be used in the field of mine supporting and geological exploration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is PDC material?
PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) is a superhard material synthesized from synthetic diamond and tungsten carbide under high temperature and high pressure conditions.
How does the service life of PDC bits compare to carbide bits?
PDC bits typically last 10 to 30 times longer than traditional carbide bits, offering significantly better durability and 50% higher time-saving performance.
What are the primary applications for PDC cutters?
They are widely used in oil and gas drilling, coal mining, geological exploration, and various machinery processing tasks.
Are there specific temperature requirements for welding?
Yes, welding temperatures must be kept below 650ºC. Temperatures exceeding 750ºC can lead to carbonization and reduced impact toughness.
What types of rock formations are best suited for these bits?
PDC bits for geological drilling are ideal for soft to medium rock formations due to their high heat stability and wear resistance.
Can these drill bits be customized?
Yes, according to the specifications provided, these PDC drill bits can be customized to meet specific operational requirements.
